The United Arab Emirates is widening its use of artificial intelligence and digital tools across its healthcare system, the Emirates News Agency, a partner of TV BRICS, has reported. Hospitals and clinics across several emirates are turning to these technologies to help doctors act faster, diagnose with greater precision and treat patients more effectively.
Abu Dhabi hospitals have brought in AI-powered systems to read mammograms, with algorithms flagging changes in tissue structure that could point to underlying disease.
The emirate has also rolled out smart wards fitted with contactless sensors that track patients’ vital indicators and flag fall risk ahead of time. A separate set of algorithms picks up early warning signs of sepsis, giving doctors a head start on treatment before a patient’s condition takes a turn.
Remote parts of Abu Dhabi now run connected digital diagnostic systems, letting staff carry out on-site checks while streaming audio and video live to a doctor for consultation.
