Let’s delve into the interview details below!

Could you share with us your journey and what led you to founding LiZZOM Care? What motivated you to enter the healthcare space?

My journey into the healthcare and wellness space was driven by a passion for addressing menstrual health and hygiene, a subject often overlooked in workplace and public settings. Having worked in various sectors and engaged with women from diverse backgrounds, I realized the urgent need for sustainable, accessible, and high-quality period care solutions. This led to the foundation of LiZZOM Care, a company dedicated to revolutionizing women’s washroom hygiene in the UAE by providing smart dispensers, eco-friendly sanitary pads, and comprehensive facility management services tailored to women’s needs.

LiZZOM Care is making a significant impact in the healthcare industry. Can you tell us about your company’s mission and what makes it unique in the market?

LiZZOM Care’s mission is to set a new standard for women’s hygiene solutions by ensuring accessibility, sustainability, and innovation. Unlike traditional hygiene service providers, we focus exclusively on women’s washroom hygiene, integrating eco-friendly products with high-tech dispensing solutions. Our approach not only prioritizes menstrual equity but also ensures workplaces and public spaces provide dignified, hygienic, and sustainable solutions for women. Our collaboration with PPW (Period positive workplace, a coalition of NGOs from US, UK and around the world) has helped several organisations commit to menstrual equity and get certified as Period Positive workplace. We have been instrumental in starting and leading this revolution. We aim to make every organization period positive by the end of year 2030.

How is LiZZOM Care using technology to transform healthcare delivery in the Arab world? Can you highlight any innovative solutions or services that are making a difference?

LiZZOM Care integrates smart dispensers that provide free and accessible sanitary products in workplaces, schools, and public spaces. These dispensers are IoT-enabled, allowing real-time monitoring of stock levels and usage data to optimize supply chain efficiency. Additionally, our bin collection service follows strict hygiene protocols, ensuring safe and environmentally responsible disposal of used sanitary products. By combining innovation with a sustainability-driven model, we are elevating standards for women’s health and hygiene in the region.

As a female leader in healthcare, what are some of the challenges you’ve faced, and how have you overcome them to grow LiZZOM Care?

Navigating the business landscape as a female entrepreneur in a traditionally male-dominated sector has been challenging. Establishing credibility, securing investment, and advocating for menstrual equity in workplaces required persistence and a strategic approach. I overcame these challenges by building strong partnerships, leveraging data to demonstrate impact, and aligning LiZZOM Care’s mission with corporate sustainability goals. Additionally, I’ve surrounded myself with a team of experts who share the vision and drive to make a real difference.

What are your future plans for LiZZOM Care? Are there any new services, expansions, or partnerships you’re excited about in the near future?

We are in the process of expanding our services beyond sanitary product dispensing and waste management to offer a complete hygiene management solution for women’s washrooms. There are certainly a few big announcements to follow soon that might change the way women hygiene services will work. Our goal is to partner with major corporations, government institutions, and educational entities to implement menstrual health programs and workplace wellness initiatives. Additionally, we are seeking strategic investor-partners to scale our operations across the UAE and the broader MENA region.

What leadership qualities do you believe have been essential in driving LiZZOM Care’s success, and how do you ensure your team stays motivated and innovative?

Resilience, adaptability, and a purpose-driven mindset have been essential in leading LiZZOM Care. I foster a culture of collaboration and innovation by encouraging my small team to challenge norms and propose new ideas. Regular training, transparent communication, and recognition of contributions help keep the team motivated and aligned with our mission. Moreover, we emphasize impact-driven work, reminding everyone that we are improving women’s lives through better hygiene solutions.

How do you see LiZZOM Care contributing to the overall improvement of healthcare accessibility and quality in the region?

LiZZOM Care plays a crucial role in addressing a significant gap in healthcare accessibility—period care. By making clean sanitary products available in workplaces, educational institutions, and public spaces, we are normalizing menstrual health as a fundamental aspect of women’s well-being. Additionally, our efforts in responsible waste management contribute to broader sustainability goals, ensuring that healthcare solutions are not only accessible but also environmentally responsible.

What advice would you give to women aspiring to build a business in the healthcare sector, especially in the Arab world?

My advice to aspiring female entrepreneurs is to identify a real problem and stay committed to solving it. The healthcare sector demands resilience, research, and innovation. Build a strong support network, seek mentorship, and don’t shy away from advocating for your ideas. The Arab world is evolving, and there is growing recognition of the need for women-led solutions. Believe in your vision, leverage data to showcase your impact, and persist despite challenges.
