Background:

Under the guidance of Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, the Department of Health, Abu Dhabi (DoH) has launched Future Health – A Global Initiative by Abu Dhabi.

The programme aims to strengthen global cooperation and make Abu Dhabi Global Health Week a year-round platform for medical research and collaboration. Instead of being held once a year, Future Health will now run throughout the year, bringing together leaders from around the world in areas like policy, research, technology, and investment.

The initiative will focus on four main areas: Longevity and Precision Health, Health System Resilience and Sustainability, Digital Health, and Investment in Life Sciences. Its main event, the Future Health Summit, will take place from April 7 to 9, 2026, at ADNEC, Abu Dhabi.

The key objectives include supporting new research in longevity medicine, studying future healthcare needs, and encouraging ongoing global discussions to develop practical solutions. The initiative also plans to publish global health reports and measurable impact assessments.

Mansoor Ibrahim Al Mansoori, Chairman of the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi, said the initiative invites the world to work together throughout the year to build a healthier future for everyone. He added that it brings together the brightest minds to create meaningful worldwide impact.

Dr. Noura Al Ghaithi, Undersecretary of the Department of Health – Abu Dhabi, said that Future Health builds on Abu Dhabi’s strong role as a global leader in healthcare, supported by advances in genomics and life sciences.

With more than 500 speakers from nearly 100 countries and over 25,000 participants already involved, Abu Dhabi is continuing to strengthen its impact on global health progress. The founding partners of the initiative include M42, Mubadala Bio, PureHealth, and the Institute for Healthier Living Abu Dhabi (IHLAD), with Mediclinic and Burjeel Holdings joining as key partners.

Through Future Health, Abu Dhabi aims to build a healthier and stronger world by encouraging ongoing innovation and global cooperation.
