The new center provides full dental care for children and has modern medical tools and advanced technology. Dr. Al-Awadhi said the facility includes 49 specialised dental clinics and nine radiology rooms fitted with the latest global imaging devices. The center also features laboratories, a pharmacy, dedicated halls for meetings and scientific discussions among medical teams, and emergency rooms.
He described the centre as a medical landmark that meets high international standards in both design and services. According to the minister, the project reflects Kuwait’s long-standing culture of giving and commitment to building world-class public health infrastructure.
Dr. Al-Awadhi stressed that the Ministry of Health remains focused on developing skilled national staff. He said the centre will rely on Kuwaiti doctors and dentists trained at leading international universities to ensure high-quality care for children across the country.
The facility also places special focus on children with special needs. The center has special clinics with recovery rooms, sterilization units, and emergency care areas to give children safe and comfortable treatment.
In addition to clinical services, the centre features training and lecture halls to support continuous education for healthcare professionals. A children’s recreation area has also been built to create a friendly and less stressful atmosphere for young patients during visits.
Officials said the centre will help reduce pressure on general hospitals and improve access to specialised dental services for families. With its wide range of services and modern infrastructure, the new paediatric dental centre is expected to play a key role in improving oral health outcomes among children in Kuwait.
The inauguration highlights the government’s broader push to modernise healthcare facilities and expand specialised medical services across the country.
