Background-
The Arab Hospitals Federation held the seventh edition of its Gold Initiative Certificate ceremony at Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers under the patronage of Sheikh Nahayan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence. The event carried the theme Role Model in Healthcare Excellence and gathered senior Arab healthcare leaders, decision makers and institutional representatives.
The UAE recorded the strongest presence at the ceremony, leading all participating countries in both the number of entries and the number of honored institutions. Organizers said the result highlights the progress of the UAE healthcare system and its focus on quality, innovation, sustainability and patient experience.
Sheikh Nahayan welcomed attendees and praised the federation for uniting Arab nations around shared healthcare standards. He credited the leadership of UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for prioritizing community health and driving investment in hospitals, technology and healthcare professionals across the country.
The seventh edition drew 332 healthcare institutions from ten Arab countries, with judges recognizing 50 institutions and authorities across eight dimensions of excellence. Assessors evaluated entries using five criteria covering innovation, impact, sustainability, scalability and evidence.
PureHealth received the Pioneer of Excellence in Healthcare award, while Sally Al Rabaa, who chaired the seventh edition jury, earned the Innovative Leadership in Healthcare Excellence honor.
Institutions receiving the top Holistic Role Model distinction stood out for multidimensional excellence, while others earned Platinum, Gold and Silver recognition. Federation President Fadi Alameh presented certificates and trophies to winning institutions.
The Beryl Institute, HIMSS and the World Council for Medical Tourism partnered on the initiative, with PureHealth serving as strategic partner for a third consecutive year.
Federation chief executive Alice Yammine Boueiz said the certificate has grown into a lasting mark of trust for patients and communities, adding that institutions must requalify annually to keep excellence embedded in their culture.
