Background-

Syria’s Health Ministry has launched two new projects to improve primary healthcare services across the country.
These projects are supported by the European Union, the World Health Organization, and Italy’s UPP. The official launch took place at Ibn al-Nafis Medical Complex in Damascus.

The first project focuses on repairing and upgrading 22 health centres in al-Safira and Tal al-Daman, located in southern Aleppo province. The whole cost of this project is up to 7 million euros.

The target is to improve some basic health services in some areas so that more people can receive proper medical care close to their homes.

Renovating these centres will help provide safer buildings, better equipment, and improved working conditions for medical staff.

The second project is valued at around 1 million euros. It suggests improving leadership and management in primary healthcare services.

It will also introduce a “family health” model, which focuses on providing continuous and organized care for families instead of treating patients only during emergencies.

These projects are part of ongoing efforts to restore basic health services and make the healthcare system stronger and more reliable for the future. The Health issues faced by Syria in past years still show effects. Many hospitals and clinics are now recovering, the Doctors and medical staff is seen to be improved which signifies constitent growth.
