Key Background:
Thumbay Healthcare reached an important milestone in the UAE’s medical field with its surgical conference. At the event, 41 doctors were honored for their service, and the new Marhaba Surgeons program was launched to bring 500 specialists together and build the country’s largest surgery hub.
The conference also brought surgeons, educators, and healthcare professionals together for a full day of learning and sharing. Participants earned eight CME hours through case discussions and practical sessions. The recognition given to 41 physicians highlighted their commitment to surgical excellence, community service, and improving patient care.
The highlight of the event was the official launch of Marhaba Surgeons, introduced by Dr. Thumbay Moideen, Founder President, and Mr. Akbar Moideen Thumbay, Vice President of Thumbay Group. The launch received backing from H.H. Sheikh Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and head of the Ajman Executive Council.
Described as the “biggest campaign of its kind,” Marhaba Surgeons is designed to create a strong professional network for surgeons under the theme “Where Expertise Meets Opportunity.”
Dr. Moideen explained that recognizing 41 doctors goes beyond a ceremony. It shows the high standards expected in healthcare and the results the community deserves. The Marhaba Surgeons program will create a network that helps surgeons share knowledge, provide care, and make a real difference.
Mr. Akbar Moideen Thumbay added, “This initiative connects surgical talent with real-world readiness, from rapid diagnostics to rehabilitation, ensuring patient journeys are safer, faster, and stronger.”
Surgeons and healthcare leaders are invited to join the initiative across Thumbay’s hospitals and university facilities in Ajman, Fujairah, and Sharjah. Registration details are available at marhabasurgeons.thumbay.com.
With this campaign, Thumbay Healthcare, the UAE’s first private academic health system, continues to strengthen its mission to improve patient care, medical education, and innovation in the region.
