The forum is being organized by the General Administration of Medical Services at the Ministry of Interior and brings together ministers, officials and specialists from across the Kingdom.
The event focuses on improving coordination between health and security agencies, strengthening emergency preparedness and using advanced technology to improve services during Hajj.
Discussions during the opening day covered healthcare integration, environmental sustainability, operational safety and public health support across the holy sites.
Officials said healthcare facilities in Makkah, Madinah and the holy sites are fully prepared for the pilgrimage season. More than 52,000 healthcare professionals have been deployed this year, while total hospital bed capacity has crossed 20,000, including thousands of beds in the holy sites.
Authorities also established a second Mina Emergency Hospital with 200 additional beds within a short period.
The forum highlighted the growing use of advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence, drones, robotic surgery, virtual healthcare and smart monitoring systems.
Emergency services have also expanded with additional ambulances, air ambulance support and AI-assisted communication systems to improve response times and patient care.
The event includes panel discussions, workshops, a hackathon and exhibitions featuring health and security innovations linked to Hajj services.
Officials said the initiatives reflect Saudi Arabia’s wider efforts to improve pilgrim safety, healthcare access and operational efficiency during one of the world’s largest religious gatherings.
