Apex Health, a subsidiary of Estithmar Holding, has received major recognition in the MENA healthcare sector after winning 16 awards and being named a “Holistic Role Model” by the Arab Hospitals Federation.
The recognition marks the highest honour given by the Federation and highlights Apex Health’s performance across its hospitals in Qatar and Iraq. The group’s institutions, including The View Hospital in Qatar, The Military Medical City Hospital managed by EWS, and hospitals in Iraq, were all included in the awards.
Apex Health secured four Platinum and twelve Gold awards at the Federation’s seventh Gold Initiative Certificate. The group stood out among 45 recognised institutions selected from 323 applications across ten countries. All Apex Health institutions that were submitted for evaluation received awards, showing a strong overall performance across its network.
The “Holistic Role Model” status is given to organisations that show consistent excellence across multiple areas of healthcare delivery, rather than performance in a single category. The evaluation covers eight key areas, including leadership, patient safety, workforce development, digital health, operational quality, and sustainability.
Joseph Hazel, Group CEO of Apex Health, said the recognition reflects the company’s focus on maintaining high standards across all its hospitals. He said quality care remains the organisation’s foundation and that it continues to focus on delivering reliable healthcare services across different communities.
The Arab Hospitals Federation said Apex Health was assessed at every level of its evaluation system and performed strongly across all categories. It added that the results demonstrate consistent quality across institutions and countries.
The Federation’s assessment was independently supported by organisations including HIMSS, The Beryl Institute, and the World Council for Medical Tourism.
Apex Health said the recognition confirms its current performance while also setting expectations for continued improvement as healthcare demands in the region grow more complex.
