Background-
Saudi German Health UAE, one of the leading private healthcare providers across the Middle East and North Africa, has selected HPE’s wired and wireless network access control solution, managed through HPE Aruba Central, to modernize its network and speed up its digital healthcare transformation in the UAE.
The two partners have worked together for 14 years. The provider chose the HPE Self-Driving Network portfolio to upgrade its wired, wireless and security infrastructure and support growth across its hospitals, clinics, medical education facilities and new medical college.
Rising digital services, connected devices, bandwidth-heavy imaging applications and mobile users across campuses called for a network with greater scale, visibility and reliability. The upgrade forms part of a wider group digital program.
Abid Shah, chief information officer at Saudi German Health UAE, said the secure, AI-native network gives the group a resilient base for its growing healthcare and academic operations. He said centralized visibility and AI-driven insights will help teams manage the network, scale with the organization and improve patient experience.
Zeeshan Hadi, Business Head for UAE, Oman, Bahrain and Africa, Networking at HPE, said healthcare providers need smarter, automated networks to deliver secure, always-on digital services. He said the setup will support smart hospital initiatives and AI-enabled healthcare applications.
The network uses HPE Aruba Networking Access Points, CX Switches, ClearPass Policy Manager and User Experience Insight to keep electronic medical records and clinical systems available, protect patient data and spot issues early.
